Feast of Tabernacles 2012 . . .
Sunday Evening, September 30 - Monday, October 8
Children can learn so much and we want to provide a program that will instruct, challenge, and help them to grow in truth. The children's program is a very important part of the feast and can help to set a course of success for a young person's life journey. Our goal in having a program for the children is to teach them love for the Torah. It will be a week of Hebrew school. Our desire is that the children keep Torah because it is in their heart to do so.
The Program is for children ages 5-12 but children under age 5 are welcome to participate with their parent's supervision. The children will be separated into groups, depending on age, with each group receiving instruction compatible with their age. All groups will be meeting in the same room but will sit in different sections. Disruptive children will be removed from class and brought to you or fed to the bears.
The children will be meeting after Praise and Worship, before the first speaker, in the morning from 10:00 to 12:45. The parents will take the children to the Multi-Purpose Room to sign in every day of the Program. The Multi-Purpose Room is located behind the Auditorium in the Wilderness Creek Convention Center the Parents will bring their Children there and pick them up there.
There may be times when the Children go outside for games or activities depending on the weather. Please dress your children in clothes they can get dirty in!
In order to be able to locate you in a hurry, parents of children participating in this program are required to be in attendance at the morning teaching sessions in the Wilderness Creek Auditorium or be helping with the children in the Multi-Purpose Room. Parents must have also registered themselves and their children with Season of Our Joy. Children will need to wear their name tags on their lanyard everyday.

How to Volunteer
We expect many children to be at this year's festival, and therefore we will need a lot of help and assistance in this program. Thus, at least one parent (preferably the father) from each family is required to serve in the program at least once during the festival. There will be a number of 3-hour time slots from which you may choose. For those who would like to get their service time slot(s) scheduled before the festival, you can do so by calling or emailing Leah Todd, at heathandleahtodd@yahoo.com. She will assist you in getting the time slot that best fits your schedule. Should you decide to wait till you get to the festival to choose your service slot, you may do so at the SOOJ Check-In table located in the Lake View Lodge or on the first day when you bring your children. Keep in mind that the slots will be taken up on a first-come, first-serve basis, so get there early to choose the best slots, or better yet, call Leah early and get it taken care of! Those parents that volunteer will receive a DVD of the speaking sessions they miss while serving in the children's program.
For questions about the Children's Program or to offer you help and leadership skills, contact Mark and Linda Roth (see Contact Us) or Leah Todd - heathandleahtodd@yahoo.com - or ph. (918) 473-1242. When you call, be sure to share with us a little about yourself, what your interests and gifts are, and if there is something you would especially like to bless the children with.
