2011

Biblical Gardening - Gardening can be one of the simplest and most satisfying things and also one of the most complicated and frustrating at the same time. If we will return to gardening as it was intended to be, it can be relaxing, fulfilling and full of purpose. It is an activity that has been apart of our daily lives for as long as man has been on earth.  Was not Adam placed in a garden and told to keep it?  How ever most people do not keep a garden in this day and age and starting from scratch can be a little intimidating.  So my  intention will be to show people how to start gardening in its simplest manner, as the father intended it. By returning to our roots in the garden, we will have a deeper understanding of our father, that will help us in the days to come. If we will return to the father in all things, then in all things we will be blessed.

What is Biblical Zion
Is Zion the Jews? Is the modern state of Israel Biblical Zion? What is Zion? This teaching will explain Biblical Zion and how it is related to the end of days.

Sukkot and the Shekinah
In Lev 23, the children of Israel are commanded to celebrate Sukkot to remember the exodus from Egypt. Why? When the children of Israel left Egypt, they were led by the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. The cloud and pillar is called the glory of the Lord. The rabbis see this as the manifestation of the Shekinah. How does this foreshadow the greater exodus in the end of days?

Current Events and Prophecy
European countries are having financial difficulty. Is the Euro going to collapse? The US federal debt is over $14 trillion dollars. Will the US dollar collapse? If these things happen, what will be the outcome? Will the UN recognize a PLO state based upon 67 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital? Will Israel sign a peace agreement as a result of direct negotiations with the PLO? Will there be war in the Middle East in the near future? How do these things relate to Bible prophecy in the end of days?

The Threshold Covenant
Have you ever wondered why the children of Israel were instructed to put the blood of a lamb on the door posts and lintel of their homes during the original Passover? Yes, those houses with the blood were "passed over" by the plague of the death of the first born but did you know there was a more significant meaning to this ritual? Did you know there was an ancient Middle-Eastern custom called the Covenant of the Threshold? When a special guest would come to a house, an animal would be killed on the threshold of the home and when the guest stepped over the threshold of that house, then he became a full member of that family. When Yeshua died and His blood was spilled on the ground of the Mount of Olives, His blood was literally poured out at the threshold of the House of YHVH. You will never look at Passover the same way after you hear this teaching. You will learn how the Passover is the covenantal meal that makes you a full member of the household of Yah. I pray this teaching will bless you as it has blessed my personal relationship with my King.

Covenant of the Pieces
Why did Yeshua have to die for us? As believers in the Hebrew Messiah, His sacrifice is the foundation of our faith. The answer lies with our Father Abraham. The 15th chapter of Genesis describes a covenant that was made between YHVH and Abram. This teaching will show you that Messiah Yeshua was there when this covenant was made and why Yeshua had to stand in place of Israel for the penalty of death. The Covenant of YHVH with Israel is eternal and He will return to fulfill the promise made to our forefathers.

The House of Hillel and the House of Shammai
First century understanding of the most controversial topic of the first century was not about messiah being messiah, it was about accepting the Gentiles to the Malchut Hahamayim. Yeshua's arguments with the Pharisees have being for the last 1,700 years used by the Church system as a way to make separation of Israel with the Church. This teaching will help us understand the context of what was the main issue in the first century and how Yeshua arguments was directed to one of the main branches of the Pharisaic movement in that time. Our lack of understanding on these issues has created a anti-Semitic attitude towards anything Jewish. Because of lack of context, the system of religion take an anti-Torah position without knowing that Yeshua's argument was to rebuke the house of Shammai and the man made laws they establish.

First Things First
In the end of days the Torah which was given from the beginning – the ancient times - will again be taught to the world. All of Elohim’s people have a part in sharing this message of hope and salvation with the nations. But before we begin to teach and light the way for others, we need to check ourselves against the Eternal’s standards. Are our priorities set in order correctly? Have we truly put the first things first?

The Joy & History of the Dance
It’s quite clear that dancing was one of the ways the Israelites showed their adoration and praise for the God of their fathers. It was also shown in a positive light in Yeshua’s parable of the prodigal son. But when it comes to the early “Church fathers” it’s often shunned. What happened to dance as a form of praise and worship in “the Church”, and why is it making a comeback today?

Understanding SOOJ
Are we Jewish or Not? I often get this question. Some think that because we follow some of the Jewish traditions during the festival, we must be Jewish. On the other hand, many Jewish people wonder why we “gentiles” observe this “Jewish” festival. Jewish? – NO; Gentile? – NO; Hebrew – YES! This session will help you understand the motivation behind what we do.

Rivers of Living Water
God’s desire is for all mankind to be saved, But if you took a poll from within the ranks of traditional Christianity, you would find that many Christians believe that much of the world will not be saved. Why? Because many have not believed on the saving power of Jesus. Does this make God a failure? Has HaSatan won the battle for the souls of man? Not a chance. This day, that Great Day of the feast, pictures the time when YHVH will pour out His spirit on all mankind.

Tithing: Before and After Levi

It is fairly common knowledge that the Creator designated that the Levitical priests should receive a tithe from the rest of Israel.  There are also references to tithing before and after the Levitical priesthood.  When was the Levitical priesthood representing the Creator?  Do these references outside of the boundaries of the Levitical priesthood shed light on the value of tithing now?

Grasping the New Covenant
A problem with the Old Covenant is mentioned at least four times between Hebrews chapter 7 and 10.  Although each comes from a slightly different perspective the root problem is fundamentally the same.  We'll examine the problem with the Old Covenant and the solution intended with the New Covenant.

I’m Here – What’s Next?
You made it to the feast. What’s next? First, you may have noticed that if you were a card carrying pew warmer, your status has been revoked. Don’t worry, that’s a good thing. That just means that you’re pursuing the truth. That is the first step. And you’re already fulfilling it. Great! “So”, you ask, “what is the next step?” Hebrews 5:12-14 gives an unpleasant picture of those who got on board and ought to by now be more mature but have not advanced beyond the milk of the word. It doesn’t have to be that way.
So, “what is the next step” you ask? The Almighty is preparing laborers for the harvest that’s coming “for it truly is plenteous.” (Matthew 9:37) The next step involves accountability and responsibility; it will prepare you to be able to “give an account” of “why you believe what you believe.”  Are you interested?

Speed bumps: How to Avoid Them
Now that you’re keeping the feasts and starting to see Torah reflected in your walk as a response to grace, it only stands to reason that you’ll want to “rev up your engines” as far as studying the Scriptures more in depth than even before.
One of the great benefits of the Hebrew Roots walk is that “newly infused” incredible desire to know and understand the message our Heavenly Father gave us in His precious Scriptures. As we begin that journey, what are some of the speed bumps we will encounter? What are some of the basic things we need to be aware of?
This breakout session will give you an idea of what lies ahead as you start making your way toward the deep end of the pool.

The First 200 Years
The history of the early church as taught today gives little prominence to the early community which was imbued with power that fateful day in Jerusalem, celebrating one of the feasts of Yahweh. It seems that almost anything “Old Testament” has since been marginalized to such a degree that it appears heretical.
Why is this? Is it so difficult to uncover what actually happened in those early years? Absolutely not!
Join us as we take a journey through time beginning with James and ending with Polycrates, the Bishop of Ephesus, who refused to stop observing the Scriptural feasts upon excommunication! We will examine the role the Torah and the Feasts played, and bring to light quotes that help explain the mess we find ourselves in today.

Why Do I Circle Dance? Beginning Dance Session

We will take a brief look at the Biblical support for circle dance and answer these burning questions:  Why should I dance?  Why does Yahweh expect us to do this and why especially on his Holy Feast days?  What is the significance of the dance in relation to Yahweh and our brethren? After answering all these questions we will learn and practice the basic steps of circle dance as well as learning a few of the songs being preformed for services.  Sarah will share her joy in circle dance with everyone who wants to learn. She invites all to come and give it a try. (hey, don’t worry about those 2 left feet…Just come anyway….you’ll be glad you did.)

Love; The Bond of Perfection
But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Col3:14.  Just how does one “put on love”? What does that mean for us in our daily life?  While love is a many splendored thing, it is sometimes a very confusing thing, too. And as people come in all varieties, shapes, and sizes, so do their choices of personal expressions of love. More often than not, the giver and the receiver express love in two different ways. This can lead to misunderstanding, quarrels, and feelings of alienation from our loved ones. Ladies join us at this year’s Hat Happening event and learn to speak and understand your family’s love language. In no time you will be able to effectively love and truly feel loved in return.

WDTLROY?  (What Does the LORD Require of You?)
As we strive to Repair the many Breaches found within the Messianic Movement, there are some key elements which , if practiced, will make each one of us more effective workers for the coming Kingdom of Heaven (on earth).

The Testimony of Yeshau
In our pursuit of learning Torah we sometimes forget about the awesome work our Savior Y'shua performed when He was on earth.  This session surveys both what Y'shua did (His acts) as well as when He taught and finds they correlate beautifully.

The Forgotten Festival
Shemini Atzeret is often ignored by Messianic teachers.  Yet it is the festival which anticipates the culmination of God's plan for mankind and is the festival towards which all others point.
